Died aged 84 years so born 1851-52. The Breslau synagogue community address list (ca 1930) lists Ernestine with other members of the Widawer family at Friebestrasse 6, and gives her date of birth.

Ernestine's relationship to the parents shown here is derived from the fact that a Marcus Widawer described Bertha Freund as his neice (Nichte) when he reported her death. This means that Marcus was married to a sister of Bertha's mother, Friede geb. Mugdan. Marcus's wife, Ernestine, has the right maiden name (Mugdan), is of the right era and was born in the same town as Friede.

Ernestine's death was reported by Dr. Med. Hans Freund of Breslau; a Dr. med. Hans Freund was living at the same address as Friede's husband Elias Freund in ca 1930, and may well be their son.
