A note on his birth certificate amends his originally declared name of Lipmann to Leo.

When arriving in New York in 1908 Lippmann, aged 20 years, gave his father's address as Breslau, Antonienstrasse 11/12.

Leo and Herta lived in Breslau at Gabitzstrasse 92 in ca 1930. Also at the same address were Leo's brother Georg.
