Notes

Not mentioned in Kaethe Danziger (geb. Halberstaedter)’s "Bertha Gassmann" notes. Mara Thorson names him as Jacob, and this is confirmed by his Gleiwitz residence card.

Living in Cosel when he married in 1882. Witnessed the marriages in Cosel of Ludwig Berger and Elsbeth Schlesinger in 1903, and of Adolf Wolff and Marie Schlesinger in 1910. Jacob is a first cousin of the mother of the Schlesinger sisters.
