Adolph (Zac) Apt
| Notes His birth was attested in Gross Strehlitz on 11.09.1834, and the certificate names his parents as Merkel Apt from Himmelwitz and Ester Gassmann. Kaethe Danziger (geb. Halberstaedter) mentions Lublinitz; this is also given as his place of residence in his 1835 travel permit as well as his son Jacob's 1828 marriage certificate. Daughter Caecelia's death certificate says that both her parents died in Lublinitz. His Hebrew name is taken from his son Jacob's gravestone. The 1892 O-S business directory (p.109) lists "Adolf Apt", Schnitt- und Modewhdl in Lublinitz owned by Moritz Apt, presumably his son. In 1894 "Adolf Apt" was one of several Lublinitz businesses that were closed for the Jewish holidays. My 3 x great grandfather.
