Notes

Sources differ regarding his place of birth: Yad Vashem says Gruessau, his death certificate shows Gleiwitz and mappingthelives.org agrees. As his older and younger siblings Richard (born 1863) and Klara (born 1860) were both born in Gleiwitz this seems the more likely to be correct.

Ludwig and Johanna are listed in the 1939 census of Breslau at Charlottenstrasse 24. Ludwig's sister Klara is listed at the same address.

Ludwig and Klara were deported from Breslau to Theresienstadt concentration camp on 26/07/1942; they both died there.
