Aged 27 years when he married Elise Mugdan in 1890, so born 1862-63.

According to the Breslau synagogue community address list (ca 1930 )an Alfred Asher, doctor, born 27/06/1863, lived at Tauentzienplatz 10a in ca 1930 with a widow, Flora Mugdan, born 30/06/1847, and Alice Staub, born 30/03/1896.

Lotte Proskauer's notes (courtesy of PF) and JM, a relative of the Breslau Mugdan family both identify Flora as his mother-in-law. JM, a relative of the Breslau Mugdan family says that Alice is their daughter.

Their marriage certificate confirms Elise's parents were David Mugdan and Flora geb. Mugdan. His death certificate confirms he was a consultant medical doctor aged 71 years, and a widow; it also gives his place of birth. His death was registered by Alice, although their relationship is not stated.
