Notes

Ernestine was living as a widow in Breslau at Schwerinstrasse 33 in ca 1930; the address list gives both her maiden and married surname, and a date of birth that agrees with the JRI-Poland record of her birth. Ernestine's death certificate names her husband as Salo.

Living at the same address were Alfred (born 11/12/1889), Olga (born 17/05/1897), Erich (born 30/03/1899) and Flora (born 15/06/1891), who are likely to be her children.

A Brazilian visa for Max Scheyer, born in Dzietzkowitz 19/12/1895, names his parents as Salo Sheyer and Ernestine Tichauer. His birth place, close to Pless sits comfortably with Ernestine's birth in Crassow.

Olga's marriage certificate does not name her parents, but it gives her place of birth as Dzietzkowitz. Her marriage was witnessed by Alfred. Likewas, Alfred's marriage certificate say the he was also born in Dzietzkowitz, and his marriage was witnessed by Max.

A record of Flora's deportation says that she too was born in Dzietzkowitz.

While I am confident that Alfred, Max, Flora and Olga are children of Ernestine and Salo, the evidence for Erich is more circumstantial, relying solely on his living with Ernestine as an adult.
