JRI-Poland records the birth of a daughter Johanna in Langendorf to Samuel Cohn and Charlotte geb. Pasker in 1816. If Samuel came from Langendorf, then he is probably a son of Joel Loebel Cohn. Joel Loebel was one of four sons of a Kohen family living in Langendorf, and when Jews were required to take surnames he adopted Cohn; his brothers adopted Katz, Gassmann and Nothmann.
