With surviving children Bianca, Cilla, Jakob, Gustel (Auguste), Selma, Siege, Berthold, Mälchen, David, Mika, Eugen, Emil, Alfred, Clara, Emma. Their first-born child died in infancy.

Edith Stein tells us that Salomon was born in 1815. A Salomon Courant was born in Gleiwitz on 13/12/1815 to Jacob and Susanna geb. Kaiser. She also tells us that she was aged 5 years when he died, so he died 1896-97. However a note on page 9 says he turned 83 years, so he died in 1898-99. Either his date of birth or death may be out by a few years.
