Ingeborg Elisabeth Charlotte Preuss
| Notes Leo's citizen registration card courtesy of Munich state archive The note against Ingeborg's name refers to sections 1757 and 1758 of the Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch; these state that (1757): "The child is given the name of the adopting person" and (1758): "Without permission of the adopting person and the adopted child it is not allowed to reveal the circumstances of the adoption, unless there are special reasons of common interest." I assume that Inge was Elisabeth's daughter by her first husband, and that Leo Borinski adopted her on marrying Elisabeth. Thanks to Stephen Falk for raising the posibility and to Christiane Thies for confirming and translating the statute. Married Vogt. The 1939 census of Beuthen lists Ingeborg Preuss, Leo and Elisabeth at Bahnhofstrasse 1.
