Following emigration to the Netherlands on 21.01.1939 Friedrich, Gertrud and their sons were held in Westerbork transit camp, deported to Theresienstadt concentration camp on 04.09.1944 and finally to Auschwitz concentration camp on 16.10.1944; Friedrich and the boys were murdered on arrival on Friedrich's 57th birthday.
