Originally from Ponischowitz, he moved to Oels in 1817. He returned to Oels from Militsch on 01/05/1821 having married Johanna Halbestaedter.

Following Johanna's death (possibly related to the birth of Robert six weeks earlier) Wolff married the widow Sophie Schweitzer.

bielschowsky.nl gives dates of birth for sisters Auguste and Bertha which are only four months apart - clearly at least one of these is wrong.

Wolff's name apepars as Adolpf in the JRI-Poland record of Auguste's birth - this is a common mis-transcription in German handwriting.
