Named in daughter Eva's marriage record. Named as Schayer Marcus of Langendorf in Kraindel's and Marianne's birth records.

JRI-Poland records the movements of Shaye's son Hirschel in 1832 and 1834; both records name Hirschel's father as Shaye Marcus Kosterlitz, and the 1834 record says he is deceased. JRI-Poland has a record of the death of Shaye Kosterlitz in Langendorf in 1833 aged 65 years, which fits the known facts.
