In the 1939 census of Breslau he is listed at Viktoriastrasse 61 with his presumed wife and son, the latter born in 1938.

Frieda, Georg and their son Alfred fled to Shanghai, where Georg died in 1944. In 1947, by which time she was married to Erich Rothenberg (the widower of Georg's sister Margot), the three emigrated to the Dominican Republic.
