Notes

Fred Halbers records the parents of Friederike and Pauline Rosenberg as Moses Rosenberg and Philippine geb. Steinaur. A series of birth records spanning 1813-1828 name the father as Moses or later as Moritz, and on one occasion both, and the mother as Philippine Loebel (with variations) and later Philippine Steinauer, with one instance of Philippine Loebel Steinauer. This was the period when all Prussian Jews were required to adopt surnames; prior to the use of surnames Jews used their father's name - we can therefore assume that Philippine's father was eventually called Loebel Steinauer.

The dates of birth for the children listed here come from JRI-Poland records which identify both parents. In some cases the transcription of the dates is dubious, due to the impossibly short interval between births.
