Notes

Adam's 1882 marriage certificate mentions his first marriage to Ernestine geb. Markowitz, late of Langendorf. Johanna's marriage certificate also gives Ernestine's maiden name as Markowitz. However, the birth certificates of their children Sara, Rosalie, Dorel and Hugo give her maiden name as Markus, as does Rosalie's marriage certificate. Ernestine's death certificate names her father as Markus Markowitz.

Ernestine died the day after giving birth to a stillborn son.
