From Posen province. After their marriage Joseph and Ernestine lived first in Hundsfeld but moved to Lublinitz and were living there when Adelheid was 12 years old (i.e. the first years of the 19th century). They had 4 sons and 7 daughters.

Joseph was a cantor and prayer leader for many years. When he had to give up this post, he set up a cotton factory.

Died aged 89 years.
