Charlotte Schlesinger and Charlotte Aaron are likely to be the same person. They were both had children born in Langendorf and fathered by Samuel Stein, a dry-goods merchant and bartender / innkeeper. Aaron could well be her patronym, while Schlesinger is a formal surname which her father may have adopted following the decree requiring Jews to adopt surnames in the late 18th / early 19th century.
