JRI-Poland has a record of the marriage of Bernard, born in Dzietzkowitz, son of Samuel, to Bertha geb. Tichauer in 1873. His death certificate gives the same information, and indicates that he was still married to Bertha geb. Tichauer at the time of his death in 1927. This distinguishes him from a contemporary namesake who, in 1906, placed a notice in Der Oberschlesishe Wanderer in which he announced the engagement of their daughter Selma to Willy Heilborn. The notice named his wife as Johanna geb. Karliner.
