Named on daughter Auguste's death certificate as Wilhelm and on both Auguste's birth record and son Pincus's marriage record as Wolff. Both August's death certificate and Pincus's marriage record describe him as a Conditor. The record of the marriage of Auguste and Isaac names her parents as Wolff Majud and Charlotte geb. Muenzer.

A side note on his wife Charlotte's death certificate, added 2.5 years after her death, identifies her husband as the late Conditor Aaron Majud, and does not mention either Wilhelm or Wolff. It is not clear whether Aaron and Wilhelm/Wolff are the same person.

The family arrived in Bitschin from Ujest on 01.02.1844; records of the arrival identify the dates of birth of their children.

A record of his marriage in 1825 gives his age as 35 years, so born 1789-90.



A record of the death of Konditor Wolf Majud of Laband on 21.03.1856 gives his age as 55 years, so born 1799-1800, ten years later than is suggested by his marriage record.
