Isaac Pick
| Notes Aged 41 years and living in Laband when he witnessed his neice Eveline Gotthelf's marriage in November 1891, and aged 42 years and living in Laband when he witnessed his neice Selma Gotthelf's marriage in July 1892, so born 1849-50. In 1904 Eveline's father witnessed the marriage of Isaac's daughter Selma; at that time Isaac was a widower, living in Laband. The State Archives in Katowice Branch in Gliwice, informs that in the case of your letter about the Pick family, and in particular Isaak Pick, a query was conducted in the indexes of death books of the Registry Office in Łabędy for the years 1900-1938 and the death certificate of Isaak Pick was not found in this team . The death records of the USC Gliwice filing system were also searched and in 1910 the death certificate of Isaak Pick, reference number 1/61, act number 39. To receive a scan of the above act, please make a payment [...] According to the death certificate, Isaak Pick was born in Paczynka (Klein Patschin) and his parents were Bernhard Pick and Maria Pick geb. Wolff. Isaak Pick was born in 1850, i.e. before the establishment of Civil Registry Offices, which is why the only birth record can be found in the registers of religious communes. An archival unit from file set 15/1 Files of the City of Gliwice with reference number 5851 "Register of Jews" from the Toszecko-Gliwice poviat from 1812-1847 was also searched. Several entries about Isaak Pick's ancestors were found there, including his father Bernard Pick and mother Marie (Marianna) Wolff and grandparents Isaac Pick and Helena Pfeil.
