Erna was born in Kattowitz in 1890. As Leopold's is the only Bandmann entry in the Kattowitz address book four years later I assume he is Erna's father. His entry describes him as a railway clerk. Both Leopold and Erna are listed in the Breslau synagogue community address list (ca 1930): Erna with her husband at Tauentzienstrasse 142 and Leopold, now a railway chief secretary, with his wife at Garvastrasse 27.
