Buried in ul. kozielska, Katowice. His gravestone, erected by his children, names him in German and gives his dates. The pedestal also names him and his father in Hebrew as Jehuda (a cognate of Loebel) and Menachem respectively.
JRI-Poland has a record of the birth of a Loebel Brauer to Mendel (a diminutive of Menachem or Emanual) on 01/01/1935, the day before the date on his gravestone; the record names his mother as Rebekka Blumenthal and comes from Loslau.
