Aged 35 years when he married in 1826 so born 1790-91. Died aged 41 years so born 1792-93.

While married to Friderike Kranz:
- 1818, 1820: resident;
- March 1821: merchant
- November 1821, 1824: bar keeper;
- 1825: inn keeper;
- 1826: inn lessee.

While married to Eva Pfeil:
- 1829, 1833, 1834, 1835: inn lessee

The JRI-Poland record for his son Loebel's birth notes that the father had died on 08/10/1834.

All his children were born in Langendorf and Loebel died there. It is tempting to speculate that he was therefore a son of Joel Loebel Cohn, the first Cohn in Langendorf; however Joel's wife Charlotte (who was still married to Joel when she died in 1827) would have been aged around 50 years at his birth, which is unlikely.
