In the 1939 census of Heinz is listed in Berlin at Elsässer Strasse 54, HH II. He was one of five apparently unrelated young people, probably students, from various parts of Germany living with an elderly couple at this address.

Heinz was deported from Berlin to Litzmannstadt Ghetto on 27/10/1941.
