Ernst and Kaete are listed in the 1939 census of Berlin at Uhlandstrasse 3, along with daughter Eva and her husband Max as well as an Alma Hirschfeld geb. Boss, born in Zuels in 1885, possibly an sister of Ernst.

Transported from Berlin to Auschwitz concentration camp on 26.02.1943.
