US Declaration of Intention

His birth certificate names him "Paul, Viktor" and his marriage certificate names him "Paul Viktor"; both give his date of birth as 09.10.1892.

A WWI military service record in the name of Viktor Apt, born the same date as is given on Paul Victor's birth certificate (09.10.1892) gives his last address in Breslau as Viktoriastrasse 114, which was his parent's home. The Breslau synagogue community address list (ca 1930) records a Viktor, born 09.11.1896 at this address, and a Viktor born 09.10.1892 at Lohnsteinstrasse 25/27 living with Ilse Apt geb. Pfeffer. Both records give him the title "Dr".

Viktor emigrated to the US in 1937 - his Declaration of Intention describes him as a physician and provides details of his wife and children. He had previously resided in Switzerland, where his children had remained. German Federal records also record his emigration to Spain.

Viktor's brother Franz's entry for his 1938 sailing to New York cites his address in America.
