Josef is listed in the Breslau synagogue community address list (ca 1930) with his wife at Kurfuerstenstrasse 8. In the 1939 census he is listed at the Israelitische Krankenverpflegung-Anstalt (Jewish hospital).



Josef's first wife and children are recorded in JRI-Poland. His second wife is named in his death certificate. SK, a descendant of Georg Weiss confirms he married a Mrs Wurm after Franziska died, and that he had no children with her.

Josef and Franziska are buried in Breslau's Lohestrasse Jewish cemetery, field 22b, graves 23/4.
