In 1926 Paul's daughter Rosa sailed to USA, giving her father's address as Beuthen, Redenstrasse 28.

In the 1939 census of Beuthen Paul and Valeska are listed in the Jewish old people's home at Kasernenstrasse 4, along with, among others, an Eva Katz born on 20.12.1860 in Langendorf. Eva is likely to be part of the same family, perhaps even a sister of Paul, but her relationship is unknown at present.



Paul died two days before the transportation of Jews from Beuthen, including his wife Valeska, his son Erwin and Erwin's wife and children, to Auschwitz concentration camp.
