He was living with his recently widowed mother in Breslau at Wallstrasse 13 in ca 1930.

A nephew reports that Luzian escaped from Europe to Shanghai, China in 1939, possibly with a Werner Friedeberg and his mother. Both Luzian and Werner eventually settled in San Francisco.
