Possibly the founder of the firm A. Haase advertising in the 1880 Beuthen address book (on page 31 of the advert supplement) as a leather merchant, although the products he lists don't explicitly include those of the Haase leather factory in Rybnik. The advertisement refers to a presence in the towns of Beuthen and Gleiwitz.

Adolf's death was reported by an Eugen Haase who was then living with Adolf in Gleiwitz at Beuthenerstrasse 40. The 1905 Gleiwitz address book lists an Eugen Haase, leather merchant and owner of the firm A. Haase at Beuthenerstrasse 10. It seems likely that Eugen was Adolf's son and successor. The death certificate names his father, as well as giving his age and place of birth; all these details match those in the birth record. It also names his last wife as Sophie geb. Englander.
