Simon (Shimshom) Nothmann
| Notes Leader of the synagogue in Beuthen and probably the Simon Nothmann advertising his building materials business in Beuthen in 1881 and 1887. (The births of his children Flora, Martha and Rosa were registered in Beuthen). Sources (click here for generic source information) Mara Thorson - names his wife as Friederike Apt and lists Johanna, Julius, Flora, Martha and Rosa as their children; Felix Auerbach's 1905 Silbergliet - Nothmann tree; Sonja Delander: Nothmann Chronicle, 1974 - names his wives as (1) Apt and (2) Hollaender, and lists children Julius, Samuel, Hugo, Vally, Selma and Erich; I assume that all but Julius were born to Simon's second wife.
