A German Federal Archive record gives the same maiden and married name as her marriage record, and also gives her date and place of birth, and mentions emigration to France, but gives no other details.



Anna sailed to the USA with her son Herbert Alfred in March 1944; the passenger list names Herbert's wife in France as their nearest relative in the country of origin, and states that they intended to stay with her brother Francis at an address in New York City. Anna died during this visit. Her death certificate gives her brother's address and names her parents and husband (albeit her mother's name is given as Hannah rather than Amalie.
