Philippine Cohn
| Notes Named as Philippine in her 1878 marriage record and in son Wilhelm's 1916 marriage certificate, but as Ottilie in daughter Olga's 1905 marriage certificate. Both children's marriage certificate name their father as Alois Binda, and since Olga was born between Philippine's marriage to Alois and Wilhelm's birth, it is very unlikely that Olga's mother would be anyone other than Philipine. Alois and Philippine were both living in Kattowitz at the time of Wilhelm's 1916 marriage. They were both dead by the time of Georg's 1919 marriage. Alois was probably Catholic, certainly his children were all Catholic or Old Cathoilic at their marriages. Philippine's religion is not known, but her sister Friederike is described as Jewish in her death certificate. Sources (click here for generic source information) |
